DrFirst remains committed to actively safeguarding your organization from evolving cyber threats and providing guidance on best practices to protect your organization.
Phishing attempts have become increasingly sophisticated, and, unfortunately, they are not uncommon in the healthcare technology industry. Bad actors continually evolve their tactics to exploit users and vendors, and cooperative vigilance is crucial. Our security program includes monitoring activities, reporting, and taking down malicious sites, annual cybersecurity employee training, and sharing recommendations with customers.
Please share these tips with your team and clients so that we can all defend against these threats by taking the following precautions:
Exercise extreme caution with requests for sensitive information
- Our staff will never ask you to provide your passwords or other sensitive information
- Use trusted sources, such as information you've saved in your contact lists, internal documents, and external official websites to confirm the email and phone number
- Our URLs and emails will always use our official domain (@drfirst.com)
- Scrutinize the sender's email address for discrepancies or inconsistencies compared to official domains; carefully inspect any links before clicking on them
- Spelling and grammar errors in messages are often a red flag for a malicious actor
- Contact your IT department to check if your account has been compromised
Report suspicious activity
- If you receive suspicious communications from personnel purporting to be with DrFirst, please report them immediately to our Security Team at security@drfirst.com
Educate your team and clients
- Educate your team members and, if applicable, your clients about these threats and the importance of verifying these types of requests
Your trust in DrFirst is of the utmost importance to us, and we are committed to proactive prevention against cyber threats.
