DrFirst recommends that you associate more than one token (both a soft and hard token) to your iPrescribe account. Learn more: Add controlled substance tokens.
However, if you lost access to your soft token without having associated a hard token first, such as when you get a new phone, associate or re-pair the ID.me Authenticator app with your iPrescribe account.
Note: The DEA requires that the authenticator you use to generate a one-time pin be on a different device than the device that you use to electronically prescribe a controlled substance.
Complete the following steps:
- Log into the iPrescribe app.
- Select Settings in the main menu.
- Select Manage Authenticators.
Note: This option is only visible after completing EPCS activation.
- Tap on Pair a new ID.me Auth App. This opens the ID.me login screen.
