Add and reactivate EPCS tokens in iPrescribe

Purpose: This article explains how to add and reactivate your EPCS tokens in iPrescribe. 

Audience: Providers with an active iPrescribe account who completed iPrescribe self-registration through ID.me and activated EPCS.

Navigate to Manage Authenticators

First, navigate to Manage Authenticators in the iPrescribe app, where you manage all of your tokens electronically. 

1. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of your screen, then select Settings.

2. Select Manage Authenticators.

Adding New Tokens

If you have not yet added a token, iPrescribe prompts you o enter your login password and a 6-digit code from an existing code generator (ID.me Authenticator).

1. Enter the requested information, then tap Confirm. On the next screen, tap Add New Token.

2. Tap the drop-down menu for Token Type, and select the type of token you are using.

  • VIP Access app
  • Symantec hard token
  • OneSpan hard token

3. Choose a nickname for the token you are adding.

4. Enter the token's serial number for a hard token or the Credential ID for a soft token.

5. Enter the temporary 6-digit code generated by the token.

6. Tap Add New Token.

Your token now appears on the Token Manager screen.

Reactivating Tokens

You can reactivate tokens that you have disabled.

1. Navigate to the Token Manager screen.

2. Tap Reactivate for the token you want to reactivate.
