Reset iPrescribe password

Purpose: This article explains how to reset a forgotten iPrescribe login password from the login page, and how to update your password while logged in to the app.

Audience: Registered, active iPrescribe users.

Before you begin:

Note:

  • Emails, usernames, passwords, and answers to security questions are case sensitive. 
  • If you enter an incorrect password 3 times, your account locks for 5 minutes. Wait out the lockout period, then select Forgot Password to reset.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it on the login page. See animation below for how this works.

Here is each step

1. Select the Need help logging in? button.

2. Enter your current username and the CAPTCHA shown. Select Recover Password.

3. Go to the email associated with your iPrescribe account: 

  • Search for the email subject line labeled "Request to reset your iPrescribe password"
  • Once you locate your email, click the blue Reset Password link provided in the email. 

Note: If you do not receive the email within 5 minutes, please check your spam filter. If you still do not have an email, Submit a request to Support.

4. The email link opens a new browser window where you will answer the security questions you set up when you created the account. Answer at least 2 of your security questions, then click Continue.

Reminder:

  • You have 1 attempt to answer correctly to at least 2 of your security questions. 
  • You will need to Submit a request to Support if:
    • You have forgotten your security questions.
    • You did not set up security questions during registration.

5. Reset your login password:

  • Enter your New Password.

    • Create a password that has never been used on your account. The system will let you know if you entered a password already used for this account within the past 180 days.

  • Confirm New Password.
    • Passwords are case-sensitive. 
  • Click Change Password.

6. A 'Credentials Updated' notification confirms your password was changed successfully.

If you know your current password but want to change it, you can change your password in the iPrescribe app.

  1. Open the iPrescribe app.
  2. Select the Menu icon (☰) at the top left of your screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Settings → Password.
  4. On the next screen, enter: 
    • Password: current password.
    • New password: Enter your new password.
    • Re-Type Password: Enter your new password.
  5. Click Change at the bottom of the screen.
