iPrescribe: Pharmacy Search Settings updates

Purpose: This article describes two updates introduced in iPrescribe version 6.104: a new Pharmacy Search Settings option and updated drug and patient search headers.

Audience: Anyone managing a patient profile in iPrescribe

Pharmacy Search Settings

What changed

A new setting called Pharmacy Search Settings is now available in the app's Settings menu. Providers can now choose whether the pharmacy search opens to their Favorites tab or the standard Search tab by default.

This brings back a feature from an earlier version of the app, now available as an optional setting.

Default behavior

When providers update to 6.104, this setting is off by default. The pharmacy search will open to the Search tab, the same as it was before this update. Providers can enable the setting at any time.

How to enable the Favorites tab as default
  1. Tap the hamburger menu (☰).

Once enabled, the pharmacy search will always open to the Favorites tab, no matter which patient you select.

Important notes
  • This setting is device-based. If you switch to a new device, you will need to re-enable this setting manually.
  • The setting applies consistently across all patients  (it is not patient-specific).
  • The setting stays on even if you log out and log back in on the same device..

Updated drug and patient search headers

What changed

The search bars for drug search and patient search have been moved out of the blue header area and repositioned into their own dedicated sections. This creates visual consistency across the app so all search fields now appear in the same location and style.

Note: No changes were made to search functionality. This is a visual and layout update only.
