Add a patient's medication history

Within iPrescribe, you have the ability to reconcile medications and build the active medications.

There are 2 options for adding a medication to the active medications list: 

Use Medication History

Pull up to one year of medication history using in app functionality: 

1. In iPrescribe, tap on NewRx

2. Search for and select a patient. Either: 

  • Use the search bar at the top, then select that patient from the search results, or 
  • Select a patient under the section labeled RECENT PATIENTS.

3. Click on Pull Record under Active Medications

4. Select the intended medication and tap Add Selected to add it to the patient's Active Medications list. 

Manual entry 

To manually add in a medication: 

1. In iPrescribe, tap on NewRx

2. Search for and select a patient. Either: 

  • Use the search bar at the top, then select that patient from the search results, or 
  • Select a patient under the section labeled RECENT PATIENTS.

4. Select Edit next to Active Medications

5. Search for the medication and select it to add it to the patient's Active Medications list. 

Note: The information is gathered from SureScripts through payer information and pharmacy fill data.
