Tip: When you enter a valid zip code, iPrescribe auto-populates the City and State fields. If the zip code is not recognized, you will need to enter the City and State manually.

4. Once all required information is entered, the Create Patient button will turn green and you can save your patient's profile.

Important: Address Line 1 is required when prescribing controlled substances. If this field is missing when you prescribe a controlled substance, an error message will display on the Rx Review screen. You can update patient demographics directly from the Rx Review screen without restarting the prescription, but entering Address Line 1 during patient creation avoids this interruption.
