Using Face ID or Touch ID lets you open iPrescribe faster and more securely. It also helps meet security requirements like two-factor authentication and supports DEA and HIPAA compliance.
Tip: Make sure to turn on Face ID or Touch ID in your device settings first. Then, turn it on in iPrescribe when prompted in the app.

Important notes:
- The toggle above for FaceID will not be present for iPrescribe unless you answer Yes when prompted to use FaceID for the first time.
- iOS will prompt for FaceID only after the user turns on Remember Me on the iPrescribe log in screen AND after about 30 minutes have elapsed. If the user says no to FaceID, the above toggle will not appear.
- The timeout session is very short. What does this mean? If you leave iPrescribe and come back within minutes, FaceID will still be available. If you come back after hours/days, you would need to re-enter your username and password.
- Whenever you update to the latest version of iPrescribe, it's an iOS requirement for you to re-enter your username and password.

- If 4 hours have passed without using the device.

- Faster Authentication: Works automatically in the background once set up, allowing you to log in instantly and avoid having to manually enter a password every time.
- Meet compliance requirements: Supports two-factor authentication and biometric verification requirements, meeting DEA and HIPAA security standards.
