Step 7: Request PDMP access in iPrescribe

Purpose: Explain how to request access to PDMP in iPrescribe.
Audience: iPrescribe providers with EPCS activated
Prerequisite: Step 5: Activate EPCS in iPrescribe

Request PDMP access in iPrescribe

If PDMP is supported in your state, you can generate an enrollment email from either the iPrescribe home screen or within a patient profile.

Setup times vary by state and by PDMP vendor. DrFirst will notify you if your state's PDMP service does not support iPrescribe integration.

Option A: From the home screen

Click the PDMP tile on the iPrescribe home screen. The PDMP Enrollment Required window opens.

Option B: From a patient profile

Within a patient profile, locate the PDMP Check section. If PDMP is available, click Activate. The PDMP Enrollment Required window opens.

  1. Check that the email address shown is accurate, then click Send Email.

  2. A confirmation window opens, indicating that an enrollment email was sent.

  3. Check your email for a message from hello@iprescribe.com and follow the instructions provided.
