Audience: Practice administrators without an NPI
Note: If you are a provider and already set up your practice using the I'm setting up for a provider button, please add yourself as a team member and initiate identity proofing from the emailed invite.
Before you begin
You can register multiple providers and staff users for iPrescribe under a single practice account.
- iPrescribe charges per provider. Staff users are free.
- Invited providers complete identity proofing before they can e-prescribe. Providers who e-prescribe controlled substances (EPCS) also set up two-factor authentication.
Set aside time to complete registration in one sitting and have this information ready:
- Your work email address.
Note: You cannot use this email for another iPrescribe account/user. - Practice name, address, and phone number
- Practice credit card for payment.
- Each provider's name and unique practice email.
- Each staff user's name and practice email.
Registration
- Go to iprescribe.com or open the iPrescribe app.

Click Get Started.

On the NPI lookup screen, scroll down and select I'm setting up for a provider.
Note: If you are a provider who will prescribe in the practice, instead enter your NPI number and follow the process explained in the Register for iPrescribe (for providers) article. If you already set up the practice, invite yourself as a team member and initiate identity proofing from the emailed invite.

Create your account:
- Enter your email address
- Re-enter your email
- Create a username
Note: Once saved, your username cannot be changed. - Create a password
Password requirements display with green checkmarks as you type. - Re-enter your password
- Click Create Account

Enter your name:
- First name
- Last name
- Click Next

Enter practice information and click Continue:
- Practice name
- Address line 1 (street address only)
- Address line 2 (optional - if you have a PO box, enter it here)
- City
- State
- Zip code
- Phone number
Save practice details

Select licenses:
- Enter the number of prescriber licenses needed. Each prescriber requires one license.
- Review pricing (shows per prescriber and total).
- Click Continue to payment.

Complete payment in Stripe:
- Confirm your email and phone
- Select payment method (Card, Apple Pay, or Cash App Pay)

Note: Click Add code if you have a promo code
Important: Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled.
- iPrescribe confirms your payment and completes registration, then redirects you to the Log In screen.
- Next, log into iPrescribe to add team members.
Account Management
- Log in with your username and password. The Account Management screen opens.
Note: If you are a prescriber who will prescribe for the practice and initiated practice setup with the I'm setting up for a provider button, please add yourself as a team member and access your emailed invite to begin identity proofing. -
Select Team Members > Add Member, then select the member type:

- Staff - A user who cannot send prescriptions without Prescriber user authorization (free and unlimited)
- Click Continue.
- Enter the provider's first name, last name, and email address.
- Toggle Practice Admin to YES if you want this team member to manage users and billing.
- Select Invite.
- iPrescribe sends an email to the new practice user and adds them to the Team Members list. The email prompts the provider to join the group practice and provides a link to begin identity proofing.
- Enter the staff member's first name, last name, and email address.
- Check the box for the correct staff role.
- Note: Provider Agent allows a clinical staff member to send non-controlled substance prescriptions on behalf of a provider. The provider must designate them as a provider agent in the iPrescribe app.
- Toggle Practice Admin to YES if you want this team member to manage users and billing.
- Click Continue.

iPrescribe sends an email to the new staff user and adds them to the Team Members list.
Updated Team Members list
The email prompts the provider or staff member to register for iPrescribe and join the group practice.
